Let’s begin with an interesting story, many of you perhaps know; But hear to it from our perspective. Once Krishna Deva Raya, the ruler of the Vijayanagara empire, gave each of his ministers a cat and enough money to raise the cat. Tenali Rama, a great scholar and an advisor in the court also gets a cat and some money. He takes it home.
Next day, the wise Tenali Rama, for whatever reasons keeps hot milk in a bowl for the cat to drink. The hungry cat rushes to drink the milk, and burns its mouth. It runs away meowing loudly in pain. From then on, it was terrified of milk.
The important character in our story is not ‘Tenali Rama’ but the ‘cat’.
What happened to the cat? It had a very bad experience, of course, just once and it ran from milk since even though milk is usually a cat’s preferred food. It feared seeing any food white. It refused to drink milk all its life because of one bitter experience.
We are like this cat many times in our lives. We have had a very traumatic or an embarrassing experience once or at the most a couple of times, and we sadly formed painfully limiting beliefs. These beliefs limit us from reaching our greatest potential in life.
These limiting beliefs, are a poison accumulated in our consciousness hindering the flow of abundance into our lives. These limiting beliefs become the invisible forces that make the obstacles to greater financial prosperity insurmountable.
Let us realize that in reality, every crisis or obstacle primarily arises as a poison in our consciousness and makes us weak in the face of a challenging external life circumstance. Once this first poison of limiting and destructive belief’s is purged, the entire ball game changes. Your consciousness begins to draw in all auspiciousness and abundance into your life. Your misfortune turns into fortune.
